About Us
We started as a Volunteer Fire Department on March 3, 1942. The Fire Department was then located on Main Street. In 1953 we relocated to our current location at 200 East Marshall St. and added the rescue Squad. The current building was built by local business owners and members.

October 31, 2007 marks the Ground breaking of the new Remington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. This will include completely renovating the first floor of the existing building and converting the approximately 4,600 square feet of existing bays to office space, a day room, seperate male and female sleeping and bathroom areas and a kitchen. A 16,500 square foot single story addition containing four truck bays, a hose tower/wash area, turnout gear area and equipment storage rooms and a 6,000 square foot two story addition with ambulance bays and a second floor training room will also be constructed. An elevator is proposed to serve both the new and existing buildings.
